I also think that it’s important to understand that water filters have many different levels of removal. For example, one filter might remove 99% of the water after one filter use, while another filter might remove only 99.
As a rule of thumb, a water filter should remove 99 to 100% of the water. So if it removes 99-100% of the water, that means it is removing 99-100% of the toxin. Which is good, but the toxin can still be in the water, and it might still be harmful to your body. To understand the difference between a water filter and a reverse osmosis filter, you first need to know what a reverse osmosis filter actually is.

As an upsell to the open system there are some water filters that can be upgraded to be a full water filter only when the water level drops below a certain threshold. Still, the open system is the best.
The 3m water filter is one of the newest reverse osmosis systems on the market, and it promises to be as reliable as the ones that use reverse osmosis. Unfortunately, the open water system is the only one that can be upgraded to a standard water filter.
