I’ve seen this on several websites. First off, arsenic will kill all your plants and animals. Second, it will probably kill you as well (unless you have a really good detoxing system). So, you’re probably going to have to clean up the house after you use the filter, otherwise your family could be poisoned.
As an example of how this works, I was walking around my apartment today when I heard a loud crack. As it turns out, I had just broken down my apartment’s air conditioner. I turned the volume all the way up to make sure I had heard what I thought I heard. Turns out, I had been hearing the crack of a water filter being smashed into my apartment.
The arsenic in our water comes from a factory somewhere in Japan where a company makes the raw materials, and then the arsenic is extracted and bottled in the U.S. The company also sells it to distributors like you, where it is then sent back to Japan. In the U.S. it is usually sold to the public at a much higher price. In a large household like mine, the arsenic filter could be a cost of $10 to $15 per gallon.
According to the EPA, about 80% of our water is contaminated with arsenic. I don’t know if that is high enough to cause cancer, but I bet it’s enough to put us on the hook.
It’s true that our water is contaminated with arsenic. I know that sounds like more than a little bit of a coincidence, but I’m not going to bother you with the details. Suffice it to say it’s a real problem. If you live in a large home, maybe even a large apartment complex, you are going to have to deal with the issue.
