I recently installed a refrigerator light switch on my samsung refrigerator and discovered that the light switch had a different number of wires than the ones I had on the fridge.
I couldn’t figure out why the number of wires didn’t match the number of lights because I didn’t have a light switch on the refrigerator. It turns out the wire harnesses for the light switch are not attached to the light switches themselves. When I installed the light switch, I just went with the wires that came with my refrigerator and turned the light switch on.
I’m not sure if it’s just a matter of replacing the wire harnesses or if there’s another issue, but if a water filter light switch has been replaced, they should match the current number of lights on the refrigerator. That means if the number is different, you are either replacing a water filter light switch, or if there’s another issue, you’re losing one of your lights.
If your lights are not working you should be able to reset the light switch using the same instructions on your refrigerator’s manual. If you have a water filter light switch on your refrigerator, you are either missing a light or your water filter light switch is not working.
The most important thing to know about a water filter light switch is that it’s a digital switch. It has a serial number next to its name. The more unique numbers you get on a water filter light switch, the more likely it is that the switch is faulty. It is possible for you to have a faulty water filter light switch (and it can be a big deal) if the number of lights on the refrigerator isn’t the same as the number of switches.
The other thing that can be a big deal if your water filter light switch is faulty is that if you have a second refrigerator set up on the same water filter light switch, the second one has to be switched on to function. And it turns out that the second refrigerator is the same as the first refrigerator, and the switch is faulty.
For those of you who have the same problem, here’s what you do. Get a new water filter light switch. It’s not a lot of effort, but it’s worth it.

To do this, you’ll need to have your new refrigerator’s water filter light switch installed. The one you have is the one that’s broken. But if your new refrigerator has a broken water filter light switch, then there is an easy fix. First, unplug it from the wall. Then, install a new one. This will make your refrigerator turn on the water filter light switch.
In a case where you are trying to keep a water filter light switch in that you have no tools, this is easy. All you need is a lighted pen. Light up a pen and when the water filter light switch shows up, you’ve done it.
