But does it do all the things? No. It only filters your water. There are other devices that claim to filter your water. Some claim to do this automatically. Most of all, I’m concerned that the coldspot is being marketed so aggressively. I really hope that if you love the coldspot, you don’t fall for that. It’s a good product, and I don’t want to see it sold as a gimmick.
It sounds like a great product, but we have a few friends who have been very unhappy with this product. I mean, they love the coldspot, but just because you like the coldspot, doesn’t mean you want it to be your only filter. Also, if it claims to do it all automatically, it won’t do it all automatically. So we would suggest not buying that one.
I would say that coldspot was a bit of a gimmick, but that’s not your only problem here, as kenmore also has some major issues. Firstly, they claim to filter 100,000 gallons of water a day, which is crazy, which is to say it takes about 5 minutes to do that. And second, you can’t use your existing filters to do this. You’ll have to buy a new one, which will cost you about $30.
I have to say I really like kenmore’s website. I’m all for trying to make your home water-inhabited. I don’t expect a water filter to do great things, but I do feel that something along the lines of this could be a good option for cheap, but effective.
