I’ve been using my metek water filter for just over a month now. The first thing I noticed is that it does a remarkably good job of filtering out a lot of the water waste that I would have otherwise had to deal with.
There’s a few issues with the metek water filter but one of the biggest is that it’s completely ineffective at getting rid of microfiber (fine material, which makes up a tiny fraction of our water supply). Microfiber does absorb water, but you can’t get it if you don’t have it.
I don’t know for sure, but I think it might have to do with the fact that I have a small house with a large bathroom for the water filter to get the job done.
The problem is that microfiber is extremely difficult to clean properly and you will most likely need to invest in a different water filter to have it work. In any case, its nice to see that metek has some innovation at least.

I know they have their own microfiber water filter, but it is a little more affordable and I think is well-executed.
Well, I guess for now we can all settle with the idea that metek is just a slightly larger version of the water-filtering unit we all know and love. But I think that if they do something that’s new, I’m excited. I just hope they choose something that doesn’t completely suck. Because it would be sad if they stuck with the same water filters we all still use.
