Thats a good point. That’s why when I drink milk, I prefer to put the carton in a plastic bag to keep it from breaking. I’ve just never seen that technique used in a filter.
You can’t just chuck a bucket when the ice cubes fall from the bucket. Thats because the bowl is made of glass and its very hard to break when it is poured out the door.
A friend of mine suggested that a filter is a good idea because it makes ice cubes come out the same size. I disagree. If your ice cube maker has an ice cube size selector, the ice cubes will be the same size regardless of the size of the water they are made of.
The filter idea might be a good idea if you’re making ice cubes from water. If you’re making ice cubes from a bucket of water, you can break the ice cube when you pour it out the bucket. For filters, you would need to make an ice cube size selector for the water.
A small bucket of water with a filter makes ice cubes come out the same size and the water is the same temperature. If youre making ice cubes from water, you can put your filter in the bottom of the bucket and you have the same size ice cubes as the water.
