I have seen many users struggle with the water filter reset function on their new Samsung fridge. I’m not sure if it’s the refrigerator model or Samsung or something else, but it has been a common complaint. This can be caused by the filter clog or malfunctioning in any way.
After a filter clog, the fridge is actually able to use its water again, but you will have to manually reset it to clean your filter. For those with Samsung products they are able to clean the filter via a firmware update, but for those of us in the UK, or anyone who hasn’t had their water filter serviced, well it’s a bit of a hassle.

Theres a couple of things you can do with a fridge filter. The very first thing is to fill the filters with a fresh charge of water. Second is to fill the bottom 3/4 of the filters with about a gallon of water and then leave them in there for about an hour. That will suck out the clog, and if you really want to, you can soak the filter for a few hours after filling it with water and then rinse it out.
The other thing you can do is to clean the filters a couple times a day, usually once a day. I did this and the water was still not as clean as I liked it.
