I have some great news for the avid water filter fan out there. Im not exactly sure why, but the water filter that I purchased for my maytag refrigerator has now been replaced. No, you don’t. That’s not a common problem, but it does happen. Most people do the right thing and replace their water filter when it becomes dirty. This is actually one of the few times when the new water filter works fine. It can become clogged, causing the water to taste funny or look cloudy, but the problem will get corrected eventually.
It can get clogged during cold weather, so if you use the new water filter for the refrigerator, it should filter it out just fine during warm weather.

For those of you who don’t know, maytag fridge water filter cartridge is a plastic tubular cartridge that turns the water in your fridge into a sterile, filtered drink. The cartridge itself is a little hard to remove, but it’s really not that hard to replace. Once you have it, you don’t need to change it again, which is great. You can refill the cartridge any time you like.
