I own a Samsung water filter that I use for the most part. It works great and I love the durability of the filter. The filter fits perfectly on the water tank that I purchased and is easy to clean.
Problem was that the filter did not seem to filter out the water. After about a week of using the filter, water from the tank was still tasting like a kiddie pool. It also didn’t taste like chlorine (which is a byproduct of chloramine). I went and bought some water tests and they confirmed that the water was still tasting like a kiddie pool and not chlorine. To me, that’s the most important test because everything else is fine.

The difference between chlorinated water and free chlorine is that when you add chlorine to water, it forms a chlorine compound. This chlorine compound can be further broken down by any process that adds chlorine to water. This is the reason why you need a water filter like the one I just described.
When you have a water filter, you need to have a water-filter-type device. You can get one that is made specifically for water filters that use chlorine, or you can get one that is made for water filters that are designed specifically for chlorine-free water (such as the one I just described).
I’m sure I’m not the first to tell you that water filters aren’t for everyone. There are plenty of us that don’t seem to have the patience to properly set up our water filters. But for those of us that do, I say, get a water filter. It shouldn’t be that hard to find a water filter that meets your needs. You’ll find no shortage of water filters online.
